Ester López obtained in 2011 a double degree in Computer Science and Telecommunications engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). She worked for a year as a project engineer at i2CAT in the GEYSERS European project about seamless and coordinated provisioning of optical and IT resources. Currently, she is pursuing a PhD on Byzantine failure localization in wireless mesh routing at Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya and collaborating with the European FIRE project CONFINE.
Her research interests include Byzantine failures and dependability in routing, wireless mesh networks, wireless community networks and anomaly detection.
On my PhD I try to locate faulty nodes on wireless mesh networks by studying their behavior on the data plane. Read a little bit more here if you are interested.
